Editorial Policy

Our editorial approach

FixTheClick aims to publish practical, accurate, and independently useful technology guidance. We prefer primary documentation, direct observation, and clearly labeled inference over unsupported claims.

Research and testing

We identify the exact device, service, symptom, or error involved; consult official support material where available; and arrange troubleshooting steps from least disruptive to most disruptive. We do not claim hands-on testing when a conclusion is based only on documentation or reported behavior.

Safety and clarity

Steps that may reset a device, erase settings, affect an account, reduce security, or create a charge should be identified before the reader proceeds. Readers should use the instructions that match their model, software version, region, and account type.

Corrections and updates

Interfaces, firmware, specifications, prices, and service policies change. When we identify a material error, we correct it. An updated date should reflect a meaningful review rather than a cosmetic change.

Reviews and commercial relationships

Advertising, affiliate commissions, or free access may support the site, but they should not buy favorable conclusions. Material relationships are disclosed, and sponsored content will be labeled when applicable.

Reader feedback

Readers may submit corrections and supporting evidence through the method listed on our Contact page. Please include the article URL and enough device or software detail for us to reproduce or verify the issue.
